Lightweight sculptural forms designed for informal use in a downtown courtyard
This small-scale commission transforms The Artworks courtyard into a place to linger. Three oversized, stone-like forms capture attention and invite passersby to enter the store, introducing colour and play into this urban space.
The forms draw on the visual aspect of natural boulders while clearly belonging to the contemporary city. Painted in saturated red, blue, and lime green, they embrace a playful minimalism.
Using the same lightweight fabrication system developed for large-scale public works, the sculptures offer durability without the weight of real stone.
The project reflects our interest in making forms that are approachable, playful, and inviting.
