Red Knot is an award-winning studio making handmade art, driven by curiosity, joy, and an unapologetically playful spirit.
For us, craft is an ethic of attention, presence, and humanity. Making by hand affirms that care matters, that touch matters, and that how we make something is part of what it means.
Our work lives between abstraction and figuration, where forms suggest something familiar without settling into a single identity. They invite people to linger, imagine, and find their own way into the work.
Meet the Team
Erin Pankratz
A lifelong maker who moves between mosaic, sculpture, painting, and textiles. A former bun-head turned visual artist, she brings a love for colour and all things handmade to everything she creates. She loves laughing and dogs. She is gardening (no matter when you read this).
Christian Pérès Gibaut
An Argentine-Canadian working at the crossroads of art, culture, systems, and processes. He problem-solves the heck out of things, loves abstract art, the absurd, laughing with Erin, and cycling with friends. He is worrying about something (no matter when you read this).
Scout Pankratz
A shameless nepotism hire who turned out to be excellent. She brings a sharp eye for detail and an uncanny feel for mosaic andamento, while keeping the rest of us at least loosely connected to the 21st century. She is training for Survivor (no matter when you read this).
Harry
